Australia and New Zealand’s leading non-bank has teamed up with national radio network Nova and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in its search for the nation’s funniest free thinker.
After making more than 500,000 customers smile since 1997, Liberty is now on a mission to make Australia laugh and is offering the winner a $20,000 cash prize and a career launching spot at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival next March.
Group sales manager John Mohnacheff, explained, “When it comes to thinking outside the box, Nova was a natural partner for Liberty to help spread the word about our talent search. Liberty embodies free-thinking and our vibrant and bold approach works well with Nova’s radio programming. Together we are excited to unearth Australia’s freshest and funniest talent.”
The campaign, launched August 6, calls on aspiring comics to make stand-up Joel Creasey laugh, through stand-up, song or visual performance. Entries are accepted through a one minute video, uploaded via the Nova website.
Not only will the winner be crowned the first Liberty Comedic Free Thinker, they will also receive a $20,000 cash prize, a spot at the next Melbourne International Comedy Festival, a mentorship with Joel Creasey and a contract to become the “voice of Liberty”.
Mohnacheff added, “This campaign is a great way to strike up a conversation with consumers about Liberty and our services. I know we have more than a few comedic characters among our network of brokers – so don’t be shy – make sure you get your audition videos in for a chance to really diversify your business!”
