Westpac Broker Distribution.
Ex-
NAB general manager Warren Shaw has been appointed to the newly created role and will be reporting to Tony Macrae, following Macrae’s promotion in July last year to oversee third party distribution for the entire Westpac Group.
In the new role, Shaw will have responsibility for the Westpac brand third party business.
Commenting on the appointment, Macrae, general manager, third party distribution, Consumer Bank Westpac said: “Warren has a strong reputation across the industry, with a successful career in operational, strategic and large people leadership roles.
“Importantly, Warren has a deep understanding of the home loan and broker markets and a track record in delivering growth.
“Warren will make a huge contribution to our team, focussing on delivering exceptional support for brokers and aggregators while maintaining our industry leading proposition.”
Shaw joins the major bank from The Banksia Financial Group where he was chief executive officer. Prior to this, Shaw held a number of executive positions at NAB including executive general manager, retail and regional general manager for mortgages and consumer insurance.
“Westpac has a strong reputation throughout the broking industry, I'm looking forward to building on this while also creating new relationships and identifying opportunities to grow our business,” Shaw said.
