Mortgage data company LIXI has announced industry veteran
Lisa Claes as the new elected chair of the LIXI board.
Claes, who is currently executive director of customer delivery at
ING Direct, joins the board with more than 20 years’ experience in the banking and wealth management industries following an earlier career as a barrister and group general counsel.
Outgoing chairman Paul Lahiff says he welcomes the decision to elect Claes as the new chair.
“I welcome Lisa's appointment. She brings vast executive experience in local and global financial services markets to the role.
“As the industry embraces the opportunities presented by rapidly changing customer expectations, her leadership and expertise in digital and data utility will be of great value to the board and the entity.”
Claes says she is excited to head the board of the mortgage data company – which promotes common data standards across the lending industry – at a time when the intelligent use of data is becoming more and more important.
“My vision for the future is that as customers increasingly demand innovative financial services solutions, the drive for standardisation through intelligent use of data will become more critical. Standardising both enables efficiencies and ensures focus on those parts of the service provider’s proposition that can be truly differentiating for the customer,” she said.
“I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow board members, the LIXI executive and members to continue to deliver value to the industry as it navigates the new financial order.”
