A non-bank lender has hired a widely respected industry leader to head the launch of its new commercial real estate (CRE) offering.
Malcolm Withers, brought on as head of commercial, will develop and steer Pepper Money’s new business activites. The lender will release more details on its plan to target a portion of the market it feels is under-served despite exhibiting growth, in the coming weeks.
Director of sales Aaron Milburn said, “Malcolm’s experience in commercial loan acquisition via the broker market is unmatched. He’s the right person to lead our new commercial lending offering with his strong working relationship with leading brokers around Australia.”
Withers is well-established in the broking industry, having spent the previous decade in various senior positions at St. George Bank. Before that, he served in a spectrum of roles at BankWest, Suncorp, RAMS Home Loans, and Preferred Financial Solutions.
“I look forward to being able to continue to support brokers and their SME clients to grow and thrive in an increasingly evolving market place,” Withers said.
“Pepper has always provided great solutions to help customers across their lending needs whether it be personal loans, home loans or asset finance. To be able to join the team to bring to market some amazing solutions to support customers and businesses with their commercial lending requirements is truly a great opportunity.”
Withers will step into his new role with Pepper Money in mid-March.
