A non-major lender has appointed an ex-RAMS head as its CEO.
MyState has announced the appointment of
Melos Sulicich as managing director and chief executive officer, effective 1 July. Sulicich previously headed RAMS, and was general manager of mortgage broker distribution with
Westpac from 2008 to 2013. MyState chairman Miles Hampton said Sulicich's previous experience would in wealth management and broker distribution were significant selling points.
“Mr Sulicich has considerable experience in the financial services sector; in particular the wealth management and mortgage broker markets. This is of significance as we continue to grow a strong diversified financial services organisation. Importantly, the Board values the wealth of knowledge Mr Sulicich brings from other business sectors which will enable us to capitalise on the nature and speed of change in the financial services industry,” he said.
Sulicich replaces former CEO John Gilbert, who retired in March.
