The Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) has announced its third annual industry commercial masterclass week will look a little different this year as it goes digital to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

The webinars are set to run from Monday, 20 July to Friday, 24 July and will be free to the industry at large, even non-FBAA members.

The seminars will cover a wide range of topics and look to provide unique insights into the post-COVID market, commercial loan submissions, leases, cash flow, new technology, customer focus, industry challenges, lender support and more.

According to White, this year’s event is even more important than those prior due to the challenging environment created by COVID-19.

“The commercial masterclasses support the industry by showcasing best practice and bringing experts together to discuss ways we can successfully navigate the post pandemic landscape,” he said.

In one of the most anticipated sessions of the week, Get Capital, Pepper, ING, ThinkTank, PRP and Tenant Leasing Group will engage in a live Q&A panel on July 24 to take a deep dive into the changing market and discuss the ramifications brokers must be aware of moving forward.

Senator The Hon. Michaelia Cash, minister for employment, skills, small and family business, will give the opening address along with FBAA managing director Peter White AM, while finance expert Peter Switzer of Switzer Financial Group will serve as MC throughout the week.

Attendees will be able to count 0.5 CPD points per each session attended Tuesday through Thursday, as well as 1.0 CPD hour for both Monday and the live panel session on Friday.

The FBAA 2020 commercial masterclass week will also feature speakers from Lend, Speedy Finance and VOW Financial. Further scheduling details can be found on the association's website.
