The research process to determine the finalists for the 10th annual Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) is almost complete and all signs point to this year’s event being a hotly-contested affair.
A record number of nominations were received across 21 award categories. Over 500 brokers from around Australia are vying for the title of Broker of the Year, while nearly 100 nominations have been received for the most prestigious and coveted award at the AMAs - The Golden Morgie for Lifetime Achievement Award.
Key Media publishing director Justin Kennedy said the 2011 awards have been the most competitive in 10 years.
“We received a record number of nominations in 2011 and would like to thank everyone in the industry for their continued support,” said Kennedy. “In some categories, we have received well in excess of 200 individual nominations, and with so much competition, being chosen as a finalist will be an achievement in itself.”
The industry can now look forward to the imminent announcement of this year’s finalists ahead of the winners being revealed on the night itself. Winning an Australian Mortgage Award is the most highly-regarded accolade for mortgage and finance professionals around the country and to be chosen as a finalist for the 10th annual event will be an exceptional honour.
“The AMAs marks a decade this year and we are confident the event will be a real highlight for everyone involved,” said Kennedy. “We look forward to celebrating our milestone with the best in the industry.”
The AMAs will be held at the Sydney Town Hall on 14 October 2011.
