The Commonwealth Bank is setting the stage for pivotal discussions on sustainability with its third conference, Momentum: Accelerating Australia’s Transition.

Scheduled for March 12 at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, the event aims to catalyse the national shift towards a net-zero economy by congregating business, political, and scientific visionaries.

A roster of influential voices

Highlighting the conference are keynotes from CBA CEO Matt Comyn, Team Global Express Group CEO Christine Holgate, and Stockland CEO Tarun Gupta, alongside environmental advocates like Erin Brockovich, Saul Griffith, and Tim Jarvis. These leaders will share their insights on propelling Australia forward in its sustainability ambitions.

Exploring pathways to sustainability

Panel discussions at Momentum will dive into the creation of net-zero cities, Australia’s potential in the global carbon credit markets, enhancing the agricultural sector’s sustainability, and the pivotal role of capital in the green transition. These conversations are designed to outline actionable strategies for Australia’s sustainable development.

CBA’s commitment to climate action

With more than 700 attendees, Momentum marks CBA’s largest client gathering. The conference builds upon the 2023 Climate Report, reinforcing its commitment to the Paris Agreement goals and Australia’s journey to net zero by 2050.
