The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia's (MFAA) Excellence Awards are back.
The annual event, which celebrates the mortgage and finance industry's crème de la crème, includes five state-based events across South Australia and Northern Territory, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, and Queensland. The winners from each state go on to compete in the National Excellence Awards in July.
On Tuesday, the non-profit mortgage and finance organization revealed the State Excellence Award finalists.
“These awards highlight the outstanding contributions of our members, who are committed to delivering exceptional service and financial outcomes for Australians," said MFAA Chief Executive Officer Anja Pannek. “Our finalists represent the best in the industry, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and innovation.”
Finalists compete across multiple categories as individuals, companies and lenders. Awards include things like best residential and commercial brokers, community champions and young professionals, loan administrators, broker businesses, customer service representatives, business leaders, diversified business, fintech lenders and more.
An independent panel of judges make the final selection based on best practices, customer service, and overall business performance, among other characteristics. Judges' results are audited by accounting firm Hall Chadwick for transparency.

Winners will go on to compete in the 2025 national Excellence Awards at the Crown Melbourne on Wednesday, July 23.
For more than 22 years, Australia's mortgage and finance industry's best and brightest — including brokers, aggregators, lenders, BDMs and other finance experts — have gathered to celebrate the space. This year's national event in Melbourne will be MC-ed by Australian television host Faustina Agolley.
The annual celebration follows the two-day 2025 MFAA National Conference, which will also be held in Melbourne, from July 22 to July 23 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
