A mortgage broker is on a mission to educate and empower women to take control of money.
Obu Ramaraj, CEO of Smart Money Solutions, will be hosting a free workshop, titled “Financial Wellness 101,” as part of the Wyndham Learning Festival on Sept. 2 at the Point Cook Community Learning Centre.
The event, backed by the Wyndham Council, aims to provide women with the confidence and knowledge to make informed financial decisions, ultimately leading to a more secure and fulfilling future.
In her role as a mortgage broker for more than 14 years, Ramaraj has seen firsthand many instances where women lost control of the family finances due to a lack of understanding of fundamental financial concepts. Her understanding of these women’s reluctance and overwhelming to-do lists has prompted her to embark on a mission to shift their perspective and make finance more accessible and manageable.
Ramaraj’s passion for financial empowerment led her to write her first book, Smart Women, Smart Home Loans, in 2013. She then recently released her second book, Smart Women, Smart Habits – Powerful Habits to create your ideal financial future, to serve as a resource for women to dream big and create the life they desire.
