Non-bank lender Brighten has appointed Nicole Woodruff (pictured above) as senior business development manager (BDM) to handle the rapidly growing demand in Victoria’s mortgage market.
The strategic move aligns with Victoria’s position as Australia’s leading state for new loan commitments, representing 28% of the total over the past year.
“We’re excited to welcome Nicole to our team to help our brokers meet this demand and grow their business,” said Chris Meaker, Brighten’s director and head of distribution.
According to ABS data, Victoria’s housing market outpaces other states, with strong demand for home loans.
“While there’s strong demand in Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales for new home loans, we’re seeing that Victoria has the highest demand,” Meaker said.
With extensive experience at AMP Bank and Pepper Money, Woodruff is set to drive Brighten’s efforts in offering tailored solutions for brokers and underserved borrowers.
“Brighten’s team is committed to empowering homeownership for all Australians,” Woodruff said.
She will join a team of eight BDMs, focusing on supporting brokers in Victoria’s fast-growing market.
