Early in the week, a
survey from HomeStart finance polled brokers on the biggest challenges facing their businesses. The survey of more than 240 brokers found prospecting for new clients was the number one barrier to business growth. It also highlighted some of brokers' top frustrations in dealing with lenders.

Finsure announced a recruitment milestone as it brought on its 800th broker in the less than five years of operation. The company's managing director Jon Kolenda said the aggregator was recruiting an average of 25 brokers a month.
Finally, there have been claims the property market may have its best days behind it.
Investment bank Morgan Stanley released an investment note claiming the housing cycle has peaked, and that a diminishing market could end up pulling the entire economy down.
