Non-bank lender Assetline Capital has appointed Royden D’Vaz as its new national head of sales and distribution.
D’Vaz (pictured above) has more than 20 years’ experience in the mortgage and finance industries. He was formerly head of sales and distribution at MKM, state director (Western Australia) at Loan Market and national head of sales and marketing at Bluestone Home Loans.
“The opportunity with Assetline is well aligned with my experience in accelerating growth in the non-bank sector, as well as overseeing industry relationships and broker initiatives,” D’Vaz said. “Enabling brokers to help more customers has been a linear focus of mine. I’ve always been enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the broker channel and the value the profession provides.”

The lender provides capital for business borrowers and has funded over $1.9bn in property-backed transactions Australia-wide for small to medium businesses, property investors and SMSFs.
D’Vaz said his extensive industry experience would help provide value to Assetline and its clients.
“It is valuable for clients who might not qualify for mainstream loans to work with a lender such as Assetline, whether they are self-employed or business owners. We can add value to these clients’ businesses,” he said. “We can also help those customers who are finding it difficult to obtain finance in a tightening lending space. I have the knowledge and understanding from my experience which I plan on bringing to my new role.”
D’Vaz said Assetline had enjoyed substantial growth in its loan book, product range, along with a greater borrower and broker reach in recent years.
“I’m delighted to be working closely with the executive team at Assetline to help them accelerate the roll-out of their product suite across Australia,” he said. “I’m also excited to be a part of a business that understands the value and importance of the broker channel to the overall lending landscape and can’t wait to get the new products in front of our brokers to help more customers.”
Assetline co-founder Nick Raphaely said he was thrilled to appoint D’Vaz to the business and executive team to drive distribution and sales strategies.
“Royden has been a prominent member of the broker industry for over 25 years,” Raphaely said. “He will be instrumental in executing the growth plans of Assetline. He has deep industry connections, considerable energy and unrivalled sector knowledge and experience that is invaluable to Assetline.”
