An executive of a mortgage aggregator and financial advice firm is set to join the team at Australian Unity bank.
As acting chief executive officer of Count Financial, Michael Csavas led Count’s mortgage aggregator, Finconnect through turnaround and growth phases.
The move to the mutual bank sees him as general manager, self-employed advice, reporting to the new executive general manager, advice, Matt Brown.
Csavas has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry (including wealth management, lending and banking) across strategy, finance, distribution, start-ups, mergers and acquisitions and general management.
Csavas joins the group this July and said, “It’s vital that independent and trusted institutions like Australian Unity are leading the way in providing quality and transparent advice that is in the best interest of customers.”
He holds an executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a CPA. In addition, he completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance at the University of NSW and the Applied Diploma in Finance through FINSIA.
