On International Women’s Day, a family-owned aggregator has announced the latest instalment of its women’s program.
The 2019 edition of the Leading Ladies of Loan Market growth summit will take place in Byron Bay on May 27 - 28.
Leading the agenda, Alison Hill, CEO of Pragmatic Thinking – an AFR Fast 100 company – has been confirmed to deliver the keynote address.
As a psychologist, award-winning businesswoman, best-selling author, producer and host of the Stand Out Life podcast, she will share her knowledge and tips for career success, as well as discussing what leadership means in the workplace.
“Today, no industry should be dominated by one gender, but we continue to see disparities across many occupations, including broking,” said Loan Market executive chairman, Sam White.
“The industry has just endured a turbulent period, much of which has been outside our control. But what is within our control is a professional environment in which brokers have no barriers to success, irrespective of gender,” he added.
The summit is part of an annual program of events that includes quarterly gatherings, retreats, wine and cheese nights, and an annual conference, which last year welcomed 100 attendees.
“In 2017 we initiated the Leading Ladies of Loan Market for female entrepreneurs to come together to drive growth and profitability in their businesses. Since then the initiative has swelled to touch hundreds of women in our network and beyond,” said group executive director Andrea McNaughton.
Naughton is the latest women to be appointed to a senior role within the group and joins an Australian leadership team comprised of 45% females.
