Australia’s coastal real estate market is booming, with Adelaide leading by hosting four of the top 10 high-growth suburbs, followed by Sydney with three, Perth with two, and Hobart with one, Ray White reported.
Atom Go Tian (pictured above), Ray White senior data analyst, highlighted the vibrant growth across these locales, with house price increases ranging from 126% in Hobart’s Bonnet Hill to an impressive 267% in Adelaide’s Kingston Park.
The allure of coastal living is reflected in the property values, with six out of the top 10 suburbs boasting house prices above $2 million. Sydney’s Darling Point exemplifies high-end growth, reaching a staggering $14 million with a five-year growth rate of 137%.
In contrast, Adelaide’s Maslin Beach presents more affordable options under $1 million.
Adelaide’s southern coastline showed robust growth, particularly in Kingston Park and Maslin Beach, the latter being the most accessible with house prices around $860,000.
Meanwhile, Perth’s upscale coastal suburbs like Marmion and Watermans Bay also display strong growth, with recent figures reaching up to $2.2 million.
Sydney’s coastal areas are diverse, ranging from the Northern Beaches to the Central Coast, contributing to its dynamic market presence.
Hobart’s contribution comes from Bonnet Hill, where substantial growth has pushed property values to $1.55 million.
The regional market showed a broader price spectrum, with South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula emerging as a key growth area.
Notable suburbs include Price, James Well, and Thompson Beach, with impressive growth figures reaching up to 252%. Tasmania's Dolphin Sands and Saltwater River also show strong growth, supported by solid annual increases, Ray White reported.
The Ray White review of Australia’s coastal suburbs revealed a robust growth trend, with capital cities like Adelaide and Sydney showing dynamic expansions, and regional markets providing varied investment prospects. The consistent growth across these areas underscored the premium nature of coastal properties as prime investment choices.
