As anticipation builds for the 2024 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs), tickets are flying off the shelves, with industry professionals eager to celebrate the best in the business.

The prestigious black-tie gala has become the must-attend event of the year for the mortgage and finance sector.

Excitement grows for AMAs

With under two months to go, excitement is palpable among the nominees.

 Balwinder Singh (pictured above left), a senior finance broker at Absolut Financial and a finalist in the Equity-One Broker of the Year – Productivity category, shared his enthusiasm, saying, "I'm honoured to be among such esteemed professionals in the industry, and I look forward to the big announcement on 18 October at The Star Event Centre, Sydney.

“Wishing everyone the best of luck! Let's continue striving for excellence in the mortgage sector."

The AMAs have a long-standing tradition of recognising excellence, and this year is no exception.

 Jiyun Tang of AUSUN Finance, a finalist in the La Trobe Financial Broker of the Year – Commercial category, expressed his gratitude, stating, "Thanks for the Industry Award Nomination from Australian Broker and Australian Mortgage Awards (AMA).’

“Tough time of the industry makes us stronger,” said Tang (pictured above right). “See you in Sydney soon."

Alissa Childs from Two Birds One Loan, nominated in the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) Brokerage of the Year 1-5 Staff category, also shared her excitement.

"Being named a finalist in this category is humbling in itself, and we feel so privileged to be in the company of such talented and inspiring businesses from around the country,” said Childs (pictured above centre).

“We are so grateful for the collective effort and dedication from our team members, our industry colleagues, and all of our amazing clients who continuously support and recommend us."

Big name entertainment

This year’s event is set to be a star-studded affair.

The AMAs will feature a performance by pop icon Ricki Lee and be emceed by popular comedian Merrick Watts. For those looking to dance the night away, DJ Mimi will be spinning the post-event beats.

Equity-One, the sponsor of the Broker of the Year – Productivity category, is also up for an award. The company has been shortlisted for the Rate Money Non-Bank of the Year Award. In a statement, the company said it was excited shortlisted for the Rate Money Non-Bank of the Year Award.

“The Equity-One team will also be there on the night to share in the celebrations for the various award categories. See you there!"
