Summerland Bank is celebrating its 60th anniversary and invites locals to join in for festivities across its branches in Northern Rivers, NSW.
The event includes branch parties, exciting cash prizes, and a chance to spin the Wheel of Good Fortune.
A tradition of community banking
Founded in 1964, Summerland Bank has grown alongside Northern Rivers, evolving with changing times but remaining rooted in its mission to build a better, community-focused banking experience.
“Our 60th anniversary is a celebration of a purpose-led, community-first approach to banking,” said CEO John Williams (pictured above).
In-branch events include spins on the Wheel of Good Fortune, with cash prizes, product giveaways, and entertainment for the whole family.
In addition, Summerland Bank will run a six-week online competition from Nov. 11, giving new and existing customers a chance to have 60 days of essential expenses, such as fuel, groceries, or entertainment, covered by the bank.
As a bonus, the first 60 new customers to open an Everyday account online will receive $60 deposited directly into their account. They’ll also gain entry into the draw to win 60 days of bills covered by Summerland Bank.
A year of growth and milestones
The anniversary caps a significant year for the bank, which recently transitioned from a credit union, rebranded, rebuilt its Lismore head office after devastating floods, and achieved B Corporation Certification.
Additionally, Summerland Bank, which recently streamlined its Eco Home Loan application process, is in talks to merge with Regional Australia Bank to strengthen its impact further.
“Summerland Bank’s 60-year birthday is about giving thanks,” said Liz Shepherd, head of marketing. “We’re grateful to be here and to be growing alongside our incredible communities. These celebrations are our way to give back.”
