Brokers appreciate the role that good business development managers can play in helping their businesses thrive.
BDMs, sometimes called relationship managers, can assist brokers when it comes to negotiating loan deals for their clients, providing valuable advice on lender policies and procedures.
This can mean the difference between a slow, cumbersome loan deal or a fast and efficient one
Aggregator BDMs also play an important role for their brokers, ensuring they keep with industry developments and organising professional development and training.
Australian Broker set out to discover the best BDMs in Australia in 2021 by asking the people who know them best – brokers.
We contacted more than 300 brokers across the nation and asked them to identity the best business development managers across four criteria – customer service, responsiveness, communication and product knowledge.
From more than 400 nominations, 24 BDMs who rated excellent across all four categories were chosen to receive 5-Star BDM Awards.
The 5-Star BDM winners came from a number of lenders and aggregators including Pepper Money, AFG, Bankwest, Liberty, Heritage Bank, CBA, Adelaide Bank, NAB, RedZed, Macquarie Bank, Connective, Bluestone, St George Bank, ING and FAST.
Among the winners were Pasquale Caia (Pepper Money); James Tran, (AFG), Jess Stevens (Adelaide Bank); Tes Anderson (Bankwest) (all pictured) and Andrew Galloway (Heritage Bank).
