The tech company responsible for the creation of document collection and validation service Ezidox is expanding the capabilities the app provides to brokers through it s acquisition of a new platform.
Lakeba Group acquired Titlexchange, a secure online service which connects property buyers and sellers to conveyancers, and plans to integrate the technology into Ezidox, further eliminating the need for the redundant exchange of documentation between multiple parties.
“This acquisition makes perfect sense in terms of what the mortgage sector needs,” said Giuseppe Porcelli, CEO of Lakeba.
“The industry is under stress - a clear front runner for automation, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Not to supplant people, but to free brokers and others from work made for computers to process,” he continued.
The integration should be complete within the first quarter of this financial year, enabling more than 16,000 brokers to securely collect the documents involved in property related transactions, securely accessing the data and information from both purchaser and vendor.
“Enter name, birthdate, address and shoe size, if you must, once; and it’ll appear correctly and uniformly across all documents required when buying, selling or transferring property,” said Porcelli.
“It’s so obvious that I’m surprised nobody’s built it before.”
