The winners of the MFAA National Excellence Awards 2022 were announced at a glamorous in-person event at The Star in Sydney on Wednesday night.
The MFAA National Excellence Awards celebrate brokers, lenders, aggregators and industry professionals at the top of their game and who have demonstrated exceptional customer service, professionalism, ethics, growth and innovation.
10 News First presenter and journalist Hugh Riminton was the MC for the awards and popular party band Groove Academy provided the soundtrack.
The national awards are the culmination of the MFAA State Excellence Awards, which were held throughout May and June.
Among the winners of the national excellence awards were Bankwest, which won the Australian Broker Non-Major Lender Award (Bankwest general manager third party banking Ian Rakhit is pictured above left), and Helen Avis (pictured above right), of Specialist Mortgage (part of the SMATS Group of Companies) who took out the Residential Finance Broker Award.
“I am always impressed by the quality of our finalists and this year was no different,” said MFAA CEO Mike Felton. “They represent the future of mortgage and finance broking and I couldn’t be more proud of their achievements. I congratulate all our winners and finalists.”
Felton said it had been a tremendous year for the mortgage and finance industry and the standard of service for MFAA members delivered for their customers continued to be second to none.
During the awards event, the MFAA bestowed a life membership and an honorary membership to two highly respected MFAA stalwarts.
Outgoing MFAA CEO Mike Felton, who has led the peak industry body for almost six years was awarded honorary membership, while former board chair Donna Beazley was recognised as a life member of the association.
The 24 awards, audited by Hall Chadwick, were judged equally based on excellence and professionalism across all areas of business so everyone has the opportunity to win or be named as a finalist.
