Lextech has updated its C-suite, as the digital mortgage processing platform lays out plans to continue growth.
Peter Maloney has been named Lextech's group chief executive officer. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in Australia's financial, legal and property sectors. His resume includes stints at AUCyber, where he served as chief executive officer, and Dye & Durham Australia, where he oversaw the merger of SAI Global Property with GlobalX.
Simon Purcell, founder and director of Lextech's parent company Purcell Partners, described Maloney as "a transformative force in scaling some of Australia's most influential technology brands at the crossroads of finance, property and law and will be instrumental in advancing Lextech’s capabilities and customer success."
Meanwhile, the firm has also tapped AUCyber's former Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Rafe Berding. At Lextech, Berding will serve as chief growth officer, where he'll be able to leverage his expertise in mortgage services, property settlements, regulatory technology, compliance and risk management standards.
In addition, Jason Popkowski has been named head of sales. He has been tasked with focusing on customer success and innovation. Prior to Lextech, Popkowski has held leadership roles at Dye & Durham, NSW Land Registry Service and eBay. He brings with him a solid background in customer engagement and financial services, the company said.
Lextech — which is part of Purcell Partners, a legal firm servicing the banking and finance industry that was founded in 1996 — was established in 2004. Since its inception, Lextech has facilitated more than $6 billion worth of real estate transactions in Australia.
