A former AFL champion has been recognised as a mortgage industry rising star by a major national aggregator.
At
AFG’s High Achievers Gala Dinner over the weekend, premiership winning AFL player and former Port Adelaide club captain Dom Cassisi took out the prestigious Rising Star Award for the 2014/2015 year.
The award is based on the volume of business written by a new entrant into mortgage broking.
“Dom’s impressive business results are a testament to the fact he is able to bring his leadership skills from the footy field to the finance field,” AFG state manager Alan Walker said.
“Having only commenced finance broking a year ago, Dom has enjoyed a stellar rise, fast becoming one of the industry’s fastest growing mortgage brokers.”
Cassisi says his transition from AFL to finance has been a “rewarding experience”.
“Helping my clients navigate through one of the most important decisions they will make to find the right solution to meet their individual needs is really satisfying,” he said.
