Raine & Horne’s strategic enhancements and network expansion

Following a year marked by strategic brand revitalisation and considerable growth across New Zealand and Malaysia, Raine & Horne looks to fortify its position in the industry.

The company celebrated the 35th anniversary of its first international office and expanded its network to 65 offices in New Zealand, positioning itself for further global outreach.

Chris Nicholl’s roadmap for growth

Nicholl has more than three decades of experience in the property sector, including roles in major global real estate firms and a significant tenure as CEO of Acumentis.

His prior position as market director for RICS in Singapore enriches his global market insights, pivotal for the brand’s international strategy.

Angus Raine, executive chairman at Raine & Horne, expressed confidence in Nicholl’s appointment.

“Chris’s expertise in property markets and franchise networks, combined with his strategic vision, positions Raine & Horne for dynamic growth and a thriving future on the global stage,” Raine said.

Emphasising core real estate values

In his new role, Nicholl will prioritise enhancing the brand’s extensive network, which spans residential, commercial, and financial services in multiple countries.

He plans to maintain a strong focus on the foundational aspects of the real estate business – trust, service, and expertise – while leveraging technological advancements to improve service delivery.

Nicholl highlighted the importance of maintaining strong interpersonal relationships within the industry.

“While technology enhances our capabilities, at its core, real estate is a people business. Our relationships with partners, principals, and their teams are the foundation of our success and will continue to guide everything we do,” he said.

Looking ahead

Nicholl’s leadership is expected to drive not only the commercial sector, where he has already achieved substantial success but also to bring a renewed vigor to the entire Raine & Horne network as it navigates the challenges and opportunities of 2025 and beyond.

Reflecting on his journey, Nicholl said, “It’s been a privilege to lead the Raine & Horne commercial network during a period of sustained success, including many record-breaking transactions.

“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and excited to bring this momentum to the entire Raine & Horne group as we head into 2025 and beyond.”
