A commercial property finance broker firm has welcomed a new non-executive director to its board.
Stamford Capital provides developers and commercial property investors with advice and access to a range of financing options.
The new board member, Marcus Elsum, has more than 25 years’ experience in managing and driving the development of small, medium and large businesses both in Australia and internationally.
His experience includes senior roles in funds management, commercial finance and broking, investment banking, capital markets and chartered accounting.
Elsum was most recently a senior executive at Challenger Limited and his previous roles include chief operating officer at Ashe Morgan and head of structured finance at UBS.
At Stamford Capital, Marcus will sit on the board and take a hands-on role in strategic projects.
Domenic Lo Surdo, managing director of Stamford Capital, said, “Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge from large, established businesses in our industry. His links to Melbourne and experience in strategic roles will help Stamford Capital continue its expansion across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia.”
First opening in Sydney in 2010, Stamford Capital then expanded to Brisbane in 2016 and then Adelaide in early 2018.
