Australia’s best non-bank lender has revealed at the Australian Lending Awards held in Sydney last week.
CUA took out the win, which made it the second year the lender has won the title of Best Non-Bank.
CUA general manager of products and marketing, Jason Murray says the award came on the back of a record-breaking run for CUA, which has already passed $2 billion in new loans for 2014-15, only seven months into the financial year.
“CUA rewrote the record books at the end of 2014, recording our three most successful months of lending in our entire 70-year history. In December, we issued $373 million in new loans – the highest value of new lending ever achieved by CUA in a single month,” he said.
The customer-owned bank also took out the award for Best Mutual Bank – the third year in a row the lender has won this title.
“More than 420,000 Australians do their banking with CUA. Because we are a customer-owned organisation, our customers are the ones who benefit most from our success, by receiving better rates and lower fees,” Murray said.
“Every product and service we deliver is designed to help customers save time or money – these awards prove we are getting it right.”
