Ray White Capital (RW Capital), Australia’s largest real estate group, has selected Asia’s leading digital securities exchange, Alta, to launch their flagship Real Estate Private Credit Fund in Southeast Asia.

The partnership aims to democratise access to high-quality, high-demand alternative assets.

Strategic collaboration

The collaboration aligns with Alta’s mission to broaden access to diverse investment opportunities.

Muzahir Degani, head of private capital markets at Alta, expressed excitement about the partnership.

“We are thrilled to partner with Ray White Capital to bring their exceptional Australian real estate private credit offerings to our platform,” Degani said. “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to democratise access to high-quality alternative assets in Asia and beyond.

“Alta’s global investor community will now have unprecedented access to the robust and diverse opportunities that Australian real estate private credit presents.”

Growing private credit market

Australian real estate private credit has become the country’s leading investment class by annual investment volume, surpassing equity investments.

In 2023, $25 billion was allocated to private credit, and this figure has increased to $54bn in 2024.

The non-bank real estate market is projected to grow significantly, reaching over $154bn by 2034.

Ray White Capital’s track record

RW Capital has shown substantial growth in capital deployment for credit strategies from 2021 to 2023.

Since 2001, the firm has invested $4.6bn into real estate-backed credit, with $2.7bn deployed since 2017.

The firm also has expertise in private equity and real estate private equity, investing across all property sectors including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, and pubs/hotels.

Global investor access

Dan White (pictured above), founder and managing director at RW Capital, highlighted the benefits of the partnership.

“We are excited to collaborate with Alta to expand the reach of our Australian real estate private credit offerings,” White said. “Our partnership with Alta underscores our commitment to providing global investors with access to high-quality, diversified investment opportunities in the Australian market.

“Through Alta, we can now offer a more streamlined and accessible approach to investing in Australian real estate private credit.”

Alta’s commitment to growth

Alta continues to forge partnerships with global investment firms to enhance access to private credit and secondary markets worldwide.

The company was recognised as a 2024 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and the Best Alternative Asset Exchange 2024 by Capital Finance International.
