James has been in finance since 2012, starting his career at CBA as a credit card specialist where after just 2 years he achieved 220% of target – making him one of the top performers in the country. 

Whilst at CBA, he completed his university degree at Monash University studying commerce. After graduating, James moved to NAB where he worked in multiple roles within branch, corporate, institutional banking and third-party banking.
  
Deciding sales was a better fit, James went into distribution as a relationship associate with NAB Broker, where he managed the AFG portfolio. He learnt the ropes on all things business development and relationship management and helped take NAB’s market share (based on total volume written by AFG brokers in Victoria), from 7.6% to 9.8% within 12 months.

Receiving his first opportunity as a BDM, James made the jump over to Bankwest where he managed the PLAN portfolio over 2 years, helping increase Bankwest’s market share from 3.2% to 7.8% within PLAN, effectively doubling the business.

Fast forward to today, James is in his third year at AFG and has excelled as BRM for AFG Home Loans. He has enjoyed some incredible successes including being awarded the ‘5-Star BDM’ by Australian Broker.
