Yellow Brick Road has appointed Andrew Rasby as the company’s new general manager for lending where he will be overseeing productivity and lending support for over 160 branches across Australia.
Speaking with
Australian Broker, Rasby said he has come into the role at Yellow Brick Road with 28 years of experience working in the Commonwealth Bank Group. This included running a financial planning dealership for Colonial First State, sales in rural and regional banking for
Bankwest, and NSW/ACT for
Aussie Home Loans.
He highlighted
Mark Bouris’ leadership as one of the reasons for moving over to Yellow Brick Road.
“Secondly, I think it’s a really exciting time for YBR. They’ve got a full suite of products including the wealth offering which I have a background in. I’m here in a really exciting growth phase to help grow the store network from a productivity, mentoring, and conversion point of view.”
By moving to Yellow Brick Road, Rasby said he felt he would have a greater ability to change things as he worked closely with Bouris and the board.
“My main focus is the store network and particularly from a lending side but I want to make sure that the lending and the wealth go hand in hand seamlessly for our customers.”
When asked what his plans were for the future, Rasby said he would get out on the ground as much as possible so he could see what was happening in the branch network prior to developing any concrete strategies.
Rasby formally commences in the role of general manager today (1 November).
YBR’s executive chairman Mark Bouris said the introduction of this dedicated role supported the franchise’s commitment to enhanced productivity and profitability.

“Mr Rasby … will ensure Yellow Brick Road branches are supported with lending guidance, training and mentoring to increase conversions and support network growth.”
