PLAN Australia and Advantedge Financial Solutions (AFS) have appointed industry veteran Anja Pannek to the role of CEO.
Pannek has 25 years of commercial experience and has held a number of senior industry roles over a 12 year period including CFO with
NAB’s personal bank division, a director of BLSSA and the chairperson for PLAN Australia.
She also played a crucial role in the original acquisition of PLAN Australia as part of the Challenger management team.
Anthony Waldron, EGM of broker partnerships at NAB, said that Pannek’s industry experience would create a solid foundation from which to grow and deliver the next wave of growth for the business.
“We are delighted to welcome Anja to the role of CEO PLAN Australia. Anja has been a member of the PLAN Australia and Advantedge family for over a decade and has already played a key role in our evolution.
“She is keen to hit the ground running, to help us embark on our next phase of growth and to empower brokers for long-term success. I am also pleased that Anja’s appointment marks an important milestone, with Anja being PLAN Australia’s first female CEO.”
Pannak will be overseeing the proposed integration with AFS, which was announced in September 2016. Waldron said this would allow brokers to work more closely with their wealth counterparts at either business.
“The integration represents our focus on providing a holistic debt and wealth advice service for those brokers who have ambition and interest in diversifying their offering and income streams,” he said.
