Bankwest has launched a new digital loan portal which offers brokers real-time access to information about new and existing clients.
The Home Lending Portal will let brokers peruse data on in-flight applications and current customer loans as the bank works to evolve and improve its third party offerings, Bankwest general manager of broker Stewart Saunders said.
“Feedback from brokers who have piloted the home lending portal over the last few months has been exceptional and the portal sets a new standard for access to information for brokers.”
The portal is being rolled out to all brokers in July and is part of a wider project to provide a simpler, state of the art application experience for small business and mortgage customers.
Through the platform, brokers can track the status and critical information on current home loan applications in real-time. Additionally, the portal allows brokers to monitor existing home loans and access a range of useful data.
The new portal is an example of the importance that Bankwest places on its brokers, general manager of customer transformation Jarod Avila said.
“For the first time, brokers will be able to see a range of information about their existing loans such as rate, balance, repayments and term, all available in real-time. This will really enhance the service they can provide their customers by allowing easy access to a customer’s current loan position, enabling them to provide accurate, on-the-spot advice.”
Information provided includes client progress on home loan applications, action dates, upcoming steps, etc. The contact details of the individual ‘case owner’ – the go to person who handles all matter pertaining to the loan application – will also be supplied.
A live chat feature is also included in the event that the case owner is not available.
The portal is a continuation of a journey which started with
the launch of Bankwest’s Home Loan Application Tracker in November last year, Avila said.
“The Home Lending Portal builds on the introduction of the Application Tracker by making it easier for our brokers to deliver a simple, world class experience for their customers. By putting the right information at brokers’ fingertips in a simple way, we’re making it easier for them to best serve their customers.”
The portal itself will be delivered in multiple stages with functionality added and improved over time. Later stages will include a wider range of tools to help brokers progress client applications in a quicker, simpler manner.
