Yellow Brick Road (YBR) has announced the appointment of Clive Kirkpatrick as its new general manager for lending with the company’s aggregator, Vow Financial.

“It’s looking at what can we provide better for our broker base … with over 1,000 brokers already in the network, it’s a large business, and we continually need to do things better as competition increases,” he said of his new role.

He added that he will be mostly focused on improving productivity and profitability of the channels in his role as general manager of lending.

Kirkpatrick joins Vow Financial with nearly 30 years’ worth of experience in the financial services industry, most recently heading up the mortgage broking business for the St George Banking Group brands and heading up franchising at Rams Home Loans.

“I’ve always wanted work in the aggregation side so when Mark [Bouris] asked to talk to me and this opportunity came up, it was too good to refuse, and I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.

“Vow’s had a history of providing diversification of income strains, providing conveyancing, leasing, equipment financing, and wealth management through the channel so we’re hoping brokers diversify their income,” he told Australian Broker, adding that focusing on those while improving their propositions and platforms will increase their base and yield a high productivity level.

He formally starts his role as general manager for lending with Vow Financial on 5 December.

His appointment, said YBR executive chairman Mark Bouris, “completes the new look leadership management team managing network productivity across both lending and wealth management divisions”.

Andrew Rasby was recently appointed as YBR’s general manager for lending while Adam Youkhana was appointed as general manager for wealth across YBR and Vow Financial.
